Client
Corrections Victoria
Description
This project included a review of the current education and training program delivery within the Women's Prison region in Victoria, through a series of interviews with key personnel, alongside a review of the key planning documents that determined the benchmarks for appropriate program delivery to achieve employment outcomes for women on release from Victorian prisons.
The project involved analysing the gap between was being delivered in Women's prisons and the forecast areas of need in Victorian industries that were likely to provide opportunities for employment for women after release.
Deliverables
A report that included recommendations for delivery of Training Package qualifications to match the identified needs, along with recommendations for matching industry areas that could be established within the region, to ensure women would have the opportunity for workplace training and experience in an area where they would likely find work on their release from prison.
